About the project

The project aims to create a multidisciplinary network of relevant stakeholders that work collaboratively towards economically viable implementation of medication adherence enhancing technologies across different European healthcare systems.

The European Cooperation In Science and Technology (COST) project “CA19132 – European Network to Advance Best practices & technoLogy on medication adherencE” (ENABLE), supported by the EU Framework Programme Horizon 2020, aims to raise awareness of adherence enhancing technological solutions, and to foster and extend multidisciplinary
knowledge on medication adherence at patient, treatment, and system levels (1, 2).

The COST ENABLE project has four working groups (WG) with different specific goals on how to become more aware of medication adherence in Europe. HTx

Patient-centred, societally oriented, real-time decision-making on access to and reimbursement for health technologies throughout Europe.

HTx is consortium between different stakeholders across Europe coming from HTA regulatory authorities, academia, healthcare professionals and patients’ representatives. The HTx vision is to establish a new generation of healthcare decision-making.

HTx is a Horizon 2020 project supported by the European Union.

The main aim is to create a framework for the Next Generation Health Technology Assessment (HTA) to support patient-centered, societally oriented, real-time decision-making on access to and reimbursement for health technologies throughout Europe. For this purpose, the project proposes to apply technological improvements to data curation; combining evidence extracted from real-world data sources in addition to evidence obtained reviewing existing methods (1). Medical University – Sofia is a partner in the HTx consortium of 15 universities and state institutions (2). The ISPOR Bulgarian team led by prof. Guenka Petrova (MC Member) is involved in the research activities initiated in most of the working groups within the project.
